I am 19 and have been playing golf ever since i can remember. I recently went to the PGA store near me and hit on the simulator today with the 8.5, 909 D3 Titleist driver with a stiff shaft. Now i can crush a drive...but it read my club head speed at 114, and the distance at 326 in the air, with a 340 total with the roll. Obviously, this cannot be accurate hitting a 340 drive...but exactly how accurate is it?

not very
its accurant within its own restraints of true physics. obviously it doesnt take into account air temperature which affects ball density and flight. also the altitude at which ur golf coarse is at has and affect and the biggest thing it doesnt take into effect is wind and air conditions b/c we all kno its never really as calm as the perfect day that simulator says it is. now on the other hand ur swing speed really could be around 110 mph that is a deffinet possibility if its a pga certified shop they probaly have good equipment for reading swing speed which would give it a range of a couple mph's. if ur at a real golf coarse that 340 total might get knocked down to around the 300 area all depending on the variables i stated earlier. but with that said hey on the perfect day maybe u could launch it 340, these new drivers have some amazing technology packed inside.
That sounds way overstated. Clubfitters focus on something called "Smash Factor", which is a ratio of clubhead speed to ballspeed. If you swing 100 mph, and your ballspeed is 140, then your smash factor is 1.4. The maximum smash factor is believed to be 1.5 (tour pros come close).
So if you hit the ball perfectly with a swing of 114, then your theoretical maximum ballspeed is 171 mph. That would equate to a carry distance of around 285.
Maybe they had the "wind" turned on in the simulator.
114 wont get you 340, tiger is 120+ when he hits it 310, Simulators are accurate if they are calibrated. Some stores set them up long to sell clubs. You may have hit a "magic" combo that fooled the machine. i'm 112-115 and I carry a driver abot 280 - 290 when i really get into one and catch it sweet.
depends!
Simulators are only as accurate as they are calibrated. Some retailers will tweak the settings in the hopes that you will just have to have the driver you just hit 320 with. If you actually call them on it...most will recalibrate to give you true readings
Unfortunately all of the simulators have a "boost" feature, which takes your true numbers and adds up to 60% in carry distance, depending on how high they have it turned up. It is not very ethical, but it is an easy way to sell clubs to unsuspecting hackers if they have it set at 10% or so.
